Silk is an ancient, luxurious textile produced from the cocoons of silk worms. It also has one the smallest eco footprints of any textile. It is most commonly cultivated by feeding the worms mulberry leaves, but can also be made from harvesting wild cocoons. Peace silk, is a form a silk that allows the moth to hatch before the cocoon is used for production.
