The seed for Alice and Whittles’ minimalist sustainable rain boot collection was planted while owners Sofia and Nick were working with the UN refugee agency in Tunisia. Committed to a thoroughly transparent growing and manufacturing supply chain, A&W works closely with their manufacturers in Sri Lanka to help pull communities out of poverty. They give local workers access to healthcare, fair wages and education for their children. To ensure the health and safety of the farmers and the ecosystem, all rubber used in the boots is certified by the Fair Rubber Association.

A&W draws from the minimalist aesthetic of their second homeland Switzerland, to create a shoe that is equally as elegant as it is durable and ethically produced.
